What Were Harriet's Goals? & What was Harriet known for?
Harriet Tubman is best known for guiding slaves to the safety of the free states by using encoded songs, quilts, and other creative ways to be undetected by their masters. Tubman guided over 300 slaves to freedom in 19 trips. Harriet was a slave at first, but she escaped, and for the rest of her life, it was her goal to save other slaves and bring them as much happiness as she had being a free woman. Below are drawings of Harriet guiding the slaves to freedom.
